For a long time, we have harbored the desire to produce our own olive oil. After extensive training in quality evaluation and tasting we have now achieved our goal. The crop of 2018 allowed us to bottle our very first olive oil.
Valdarca - on the land around our agriturismo we have planted in recent years a new plantation of about 320 trees. The main varieties are Coroncina, Bianchera and Leccino.
Cartoceto - Near the sea, with its distinctive microclimate, our roughly 500 Secolari, the name given to trees over a hundred years old, stand on our plot of leased land in the Raggia, Frantoio and Leccino.
San Lorenzo in Campo - At the beginning of 2023 we have leased a new olive grove. There are about 550 decennial trees of the varieties Raggia, Frantoio and Leccino.
For the oil production we entrust our olives to the Frantoio Contardi located in neighboring San Lorenzo in Campo with its ultra-modern facilities for gentle pressing. The oil mill operates according to the latest cold pressing system with centrifugal extraction (two-phase system). Short distances and pressing within 24 hours after harvesting combined with the aforementioned method ensure a high- quality product.
Carefully choosing the time of harvest results in a sublime, extra virgin and intensely green olive oil rich in polyphenols with very low acidity, and a pure, fresh-fruity taste.
Food seasoning with olives and lemons. In cooperation with the oil mill, we also produce a food dressing with olives and lemons. That is, we extract the oil from olives together with lemons, so you get a fantastic product without any chemical additives. It is excellent for seasoning fish and grilled meat, but also gives vegetables or salads a refreshing touch.
